Geometric abstraction seeks to reveal the order in a composition and by extention the order in life. Number as expressed in mathematics, geometry, and nature underlies the seeming chaos of reality, and provides a comforting consistency throughout the universe. In nature we see it in atoms, molecules, the elements, crystals, honeycombs, and physical laws. In our manmade environment we see it in architecture, design, and in all kinds of art from the Renaissance to post-modern.
